I've been mulling it over in my head for several days now. What does it mean when a random guy, who was in one of my classes last semester--and never really spoke to me--comes up to me, starts making smalltalk, and finally gives me gentle reminder that its raining outside, so I should be sure to put my coat on when I make the trek back to my dorm? It struck me as strange since not only have I never really exchanged more than two words with him, but he was with a group of his friends and didn't need someone to talk to. I'm sure it was nothing at all, but I was curious to get your opinions. It's not very often that this sort of thing happens. I'm a usually shy and quiet person, so people tend to leave me alone, or at most just smile and nod in my general direction.

Questions?
I feel as though lately, I've only been posting book reviews....and for some of my older readers at least, who are used to a lot more variety, this could be a bit boring. So, I thought I would toss out an idea: is there ever something you wanted to know about me? You can ask :) However, there is one stipulation....as you all know, I'm a bit of a private person when it comes to things such as my location, etc. So, please don't ask for things like that, since I won't answer. But, things like my interests, etc. are open for your questions. The quirkier the better :) Make these like crazy icebreaker questions if you want! I look forward to hearing from you ;)

Okay....So, I'm Often Oblivious...
...when it comes to guys. But, today, cute guy called me to ask about a "homework assignment" that he clearly needed no help on. (I was supposed to call him today, but I was mad--a story for another day). While we're on the phone, he proceeds to complain about how he's sick and acts like a total baby. (For the record, I felt really bad for him...he made it sound like he was dying). However, I had something worse like two weeks ago, and I didn't complain even half as much as he did! But, okay, back to the story....He's having trouble with his classes because he simply has too much work. So, I offered to be his study buddy. (It's Shakespeare--I LOVE that guy :P) and.....this is the important part......he told me "no," because I'd be too distracting. And when I asked if that was a good thing or a bad thing, he said, "No, no....it's a good thing. It's a very good thing." The girls think that means he likes me.....like really, really likes me. What do you guys think? Please remember, I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to guys....I can be pretty thick about their signals. All readers are welcome to respond...although, I would like to ask my gentleman readers in particular to please enlighten me!

Valentine Gifts?
First off, I want to apologise for not writing for a while....I've been very busy with schoolwork, and this past week, I got a nasty bout of the flu that had me out of commission for a couple of days. But, now, I have some semi-good news.....Okay, so I met this amazing guy in one of my classes, and I really like him. We watch movies together, hang out, call or email almost every day. I get the impression that he likes me, too, which is great, but from past experiences, I want to make sure to take things slowly so I don't get hurt over something that never was. Well, here's my question....I want to do a little something for him for Valentine's Day....what would you guys suggest? Nothing over-the-top or anything....I don't want to come on too strong just yet. I just want something sweet and simple. Do you have any suggestions?

Keeping in Touch?
Today, I sent out two emails to old friends that I haven't heard from in the longest time...I do this once every two/three months or so. The hardest part is that I NEVER heard back from them. EVER. It's frustrating, because I really miss them, but I feel like they don't care enough to respond, since its been at least two years since I've heard from either of them. I know I shouldn't be petty about this, so I just keep on emailing them. Do you think I should just give up?
One is my friend from fencing club. He was going through a really rough time in his life, and more than anything, I wanted to be there for him. I had the biggest crush on him when we were still in contact, and I even asked him to go to prom with me. Things fell apart, and not only could he not go to prom with me, but he transferred at the end of the school year. I called him once, in the summer, and he said he was in school and had to go. He was supposed to call me back, and I never heard from him. I'd love to call him, but I'm scared to, because I don't even know what I would say to him.
The other friend went to high school with me. We hung out in the same group and had a lot in common. However, she went off to med school, and disappeared from the face of the earth. Even her closest friends have not heard much from her, and in general, we've all given up. I used to send her letters at college, but stopped when I never heard from her.

A Date or Not a Date: That is the Question
Okay, so yesterday, I posted to tell everyone about my potential romance and how we're meeting up before the end of the month. I also said that this was not a date, just a meet n'greet. My friends don't agree. So, wonderful followers: you tell me. Is this a date or not? Here are the details:
I started to email him.
HE asked to start texting.
WE had planned to meet up sometime in the presence of a common friend.
HE asked to meet up sometime soon.
I suggested we meet up just one-on-one.
I also suggested some days we could go and several places to go.
HE chose two of the places he would like to go to.
HE's taking off a day of work to meet up with me.
I don't know who is going to pay.
Is this a date? Personally, I think that making it a date raises the stakes a bit, and also, I've honestly never really been on an official date before, so this makes me a bit nervous. Please give your opinions wonderful readers! Thank you :)
