I just finished burning over 2,000 pictures onto a disk (still with nearly half of the disk free for more files). I left my computer alone for about an hour, and when I came back, ALL THE FILES WERE GONE. My computer had to have deleted them, since they were on a locked laptop. My brother is the only one (besides me) who knows my password, and he was with me, so I know he didn't do anything. I don't know what the hell happened, but I want my 2,000+ files back! :'(

  1. @Steven Cain...

I know, right? It really sucks, but I've decided not to let it get me down......as hard as it is, I'm not going to be able to get the pictures back, so I shouldn't be too depressed about it :(

  2. Well if it legitimately got deleted you should be able to open your trash folder and recover them. If they just disappeared perhaps they actually just got transferred to some unexpected folder. Try searching for one of the image file names and see if it can find it. If you were burning it to a disk did it finish the task? Can you read anything from the disk?
