Happy Father's Day

As as become my special tradition, I'd like to send out into the interwebs a special Father's Day blessing for all the men in my life.  And a special one on this blog to a dear old friend, who is no longer with us, and who I miss terribly.  I hope that you know how much I miss you, OF.

As I always do, on Father's Day I think of the wonderful fathers in my life.  My grandfather (who passed away in 2022), my godfather, and of course my father.  And in a special way, I always remember my dear, dear, blogging grandfather, who used to share words of wisdom and comments on this blog, back in its heyday.  I miss you, O.F., and I hope that you're happier where you are now.

As always, I want to take a moment to wish a very Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there.  And to a couple special men in particular.

First, to my own father, who has been an amazing role model and source of love for me my entire life.  My grandfathers (one living, one dead) whose love and support has been invaluable. To my godfather (we don't have much of a relationship, but I'm still thinking about you and praying for you).  And finally, to a special, special man who I always think about on Father's Day.  You were the patriarch of our little blogging group, and I miss you very much.  I hope that wherever you are, you know how much you are loved.  Thank you, O.F., for everything.

As I do every Father's Day, I'd like to give a shout-out to the wonderful men in my life.  My own father, who acts as a protector and inspiration to me each and every day, my grandfather, whose generosity is unmatched, and of course, to the old man I never met, but whose kindness and friendship meant the world to a lonely college student playing around on the internet.  I love you, O.F., and I miss you dearly.

Every year, I think of you.  And every year I realize that our time was just too short, our encounters too few.  I've been thinking about you all day, you Old Fool...and I love you and miss you.

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, uncles, and grandfathers out there; especially to my own Dad, my two grandpas, and my godfather.

Last, but certainly not least, I want to wish a very Happy Father's Day to a man who has been something of a father figure to me during my time on this blog.  I know we never got to meet in person, and I know I have a bit of trouble putting these things into words, but I want to take a few moments to honor a dear friend of mine, who has sadly passed away back in September.  Happy Father's Day, Richard.  I've been thinking about you all day; sending you good thoughts and lots of prayers and love.
