31 Days of Halloween #3

I love a good online game.  But, since my coordination is not the best, I prefer to spend my time playing puzzle games.  There is less pressure to time things "just right", and it can be fun wracking you brain to find the secret and advance in the game.  Since we're in something of a paranormal mood right now, allow me to suggest Vortex Point as your next online game.  There is a whole series right now, with at least seven games.  You can find the whole collection on Arcadestreet, which is one of my favorite sites for online gaming.

Each game focuses on the fictional town of Vortex Point, where a detective agency comes across weird and unusual cases that you get to solve.  Sounds fun, right?  And if you enjoy these, CarmelGames (the creators) have a whole bunch of other titles, which just get increasingly silly and fun.  Vortex Point is probably the most serious of the bunch, but either way, I think you'll enjoy them.

31 Days of Halloween #13

PHONE GUY: Well, it looks like you've made it to your third day.  Good!  Not many people have made it this far.  So, hang in there!  Today, we have a collection of FNAF videos from different parody groups on Newgrounds.  I hope you enjoy watching these and generally have a good (but somewhat scary) time.

Day 13: Five Nights at Freddy's (Day 3)

Night Guard Mike and Toy Bonnie

First up, we have Five Nights at Freddy's: The Prequel.  This is a silly little animation (that I rather enjoyed) which focuses on the infamous "Freddy Head" from the later games.  (The animatronics are trying to find you and stuff you into a costume, so wearing the Freddy head makes them think you're an animatronic, too).  Unfortunately, this doesn't work for all of them.  Foxy still knows that you're the night guard.

This second one is an original animation that takes some of the reactions and comments from Markiplier and arranges them into a story.  Markiplier has done stuff like this on his own channel, but his videos tend to be a collection of moments, like a "best of" gag reel, while this is an actual story (of sorts).  If you would like a straight up "best of," then I suggest checking out my post for Day 11 here.  Just a heads up.  This video is a lot darker than the first one, so be prepared for a jump in mood here.

And finally, this last one is not a video, but a game.  I'm not sure if any of you actually enjoy dating simulators, but I think they can be fun every once in a while.  Also, this one is a lot easier than most of the ones you can find online, which take up a TON of time and yield little results.  If you've ever wondered what life could be like attempting to woo a murderous robot in a animal suit, now you can!  Try to win the heart of Freddy, Foxy, or a surprisingly adorable Springtrap in this Newgrounds game here.

Halloween 4 (2011)

So, I really should be working on my five page essay about Sir Thomas Wyatt that's due tomorrow, but instead, I'm going to post Halloween #4 for y'all :)

I found this game online, and thought it was just so cute that I had to share.  It's a point-and-click find-the-differences game, which might not be for everyone, but there's a cute little story to go with it, and if nothing else, that should be worth it :)

The game is in two parts: Lilith and Emma.  It's basically the same story, but told from different points of view.  Lilith is a little vampire girl out on Halloween, where she meets a human girl named Emma.  Cute little story, not much I can say without telling everything, since it's fairly short...but, it's a fun Halloween friendship story.  Enjoy :)

N.B. I've only posted Lilith's story here.  Once you complete it, there's an option at the end to play the other game.  Just click on that, and it should take you right to Emma's story :)

Neil the Nail

In case you didn't know, I'm a huge fan of online gaming.  I love all kinds of fun little games, from basic platformers to point-and-click.  Today, I found a cute one on MoFunZone.com; it's called Neil the Nail.  Help Neil to find Mr. Magnet and stop the evil hammers from hurting his family.  Yes, it sounds a bit babyish, but it's actually quite fun, and a nice diversion when you want to do something mindless (but not TOO mindless). ^_^  Hope you enjoy!

Alice is Dead

Just wanted to post a little something for those of you who are fans of both Alice in Wonderland, and point and click Internet games. This is a wonderful gem of a series that I've been playing for the past six months or so: ever since game 1 came out. I was thinking about it today, and decided it might be enjoyable if I were to post them online for all of you guys to find right here on the site! Hope you like them!

Also, I would like to quickly state that these games aren't for everyone. First, they are very dark, and sometimes, disturbing. THESE GAMES CONTAIN GRAPHIC CONTENT THAT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER VIEWERS. If you're a fan of the classic Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, and don't really care for the newer adaptations like The Looking Glass Wars, then I would say to just stay away from this. It turns Wonderland totally on its head and gives you a very different version of the story.

A quick teaser: You wake up in a dark pit of sorts in Wonderland with no idea how you got there, or for that matter, who you are. All you have to work with, for a start, is the skeletal remains of Alice lying in front of you, and a note in her pocket that says "Kill the Rabbit". Quest onward my dear friend; discover your identity and find out what happened to Alice!
And if you liked the music from Alice is Dead 3, you can find the downloadable version at Newgrounds HERE.
